As we enjoy the last days of summer I wanted to make sure a couple of things were on your radar. This week we held the fall kick-off meeting for the City's Zoning for Housing/Housing for All initiative. If you missed the event, you can watch the recording here.
Next Tuesday, September 5, the draft recommendations will be presented at a joint City Council and Planning Commission meeting. Interpretation in Amharic, Arabic, and Español will be provided. You can find a list of upcoming meetings on the project website and listed below.
School is back in session and our new speed cameras will go live later this month. Remember to slow down and watch out for our youth as they travel to and from school.
Latino Heritage Month kicks off on September 15! There will be a number of ways to celebrate the contributions of Latino and Hispanic Americans in Alexandria and in our nation's history. Stay tuned!
